WILDWING archives creator Renée Meiffren is an artist (former pro ballet dancer & studio owner, illustrator), researcher (ballet historian, curriculum developer) and meditator based in the Pacific Northwest.

A Presidential Scholar in the Arts, Renée danced professionally with Béjart Ballet Lausanne and other companies before dedicating herself fully to teaching ballet. She holds advanced certification in American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum and created/ran Rose City Ballet School in Portland for many years, guided by the values Warmth. Excellence. Diversity.

During this time, she completed—with distinction—a Master of Arts from New York University in Dance Education: ABT Pedagogy.

Across all her work, Renée explores our shared wild humanity, natural spaces, contemplation and waking up.
